Thanksgiving Basket Project

Thanksgiving Dinner Project

A project of the Social Justice & Outreach Committee

Each year the generous parishioners of the Shrine have provided the ingredients for Thanksgiving Dinners to needy families at St. Gregory's parish, Marian House and the Shrine.  As in previous years we welcome full baskets (whenever possible packed in plastic storage boxes or a box decorated by your family).  However, we also appreciate donations of individual items which we can combine into full baskets.  We will make available lists of items that can be contributed.  Turkey

As always, cash contributions are appreciated and can be placed in the collection basket in an envelope marked "Thanksgiving Basket."  If you are so inclined to make a cash donation, if at all possible, please return your contribution by November 9/10 to allow committee members time to purchase additional grocery items and turkeys before the final collection date (However, we will gladly accept donations after this date, up to November 24).

**November 2/3, November 9/10 - Take as many lists as you feel comfortable with and gather the appropriate items to be returned November 16/17 and November 23/24 to the Church Undercroft.

**November 23/24 – Return full baskets with frozen turkeys in a sturdy box or plastic container to the Undercroft kitchen before or after Mass.  Any "late arrivals" of partial list items or monetary donations will still be gratefully accepted.

Thank you for your continued support of this worthwhile effort and we hope that you will make this our best year yet.
